The Scissor Lift - VexRobotics

Working in a team of three, we designed and constructed a Vex Robotics scissor lift capable of lifting objects using a remote control. Our primary objective was to create a functional scissor lift mechanism that could be controlled remotely. With careful planning and consideration, we designed a robust and efficient system. The scissor lift utilized a motor-driven mechanism with interconnected arms that extended and retracted, allowing for vertical movement. During the construction phase, we meticulously assembled the components, ensuring smooth operation and stability. We conducted several tests and made necessary adjustments to optimize the lift's performance. Once completed, we successfully operated the scissor lift using a remote control. It demonstrated the ability to lift various objects, showcasing the strength and precision of our design. This project provided us with valuable hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork.
